KinderKids Week 6

We meet our new Superkid this week!
His name is Alf or Alafa.

He loves to go on Adventures.

Students work hard to extend a story about Alf
and the alligators in this lesson on writing.

More on writing in kindergaten coming soon.

The students read a book that I created, "A Baby" about Abraham and Sarah
If you would like a copy of the book, leave a comment or email me.

As part of our lesson on babies in the Bible, students tried to guess which of their classmates were in each picture.  Can you guess?  No last names, please!

More baby photos next week!

KinderKids Week 5

This week we finished our study of the Tower of Babel

The students designed their own towers.
They are on display in the bulletin board hallway.

At our math center they built block towers and graphed the results.

Msgr. Kurwicki gave the students an extra indoor recess
in honor of the Feast of St. Robert.

Superkids

Mrs. Buersmeyer, our school counselor visited the kindergarten classes to share a lesson on friendship.

Kindergarten learned to draw in Art Class this week

Week 4 Kinder Kids (Continued)

Introducing a new Superkid, who is actually a dog named Golly.
His job is to guard the garage.

G for goat!

We compared different versions of the Three Billy Goats Gruff.
Each story had a different illustration of a troll.
So the kinders illustrated their own trolls.

Students read the Story of Adam and Eve in smaller groups.

I wrote and illustrated this booklet for three different reading levels.
Please, read this booklet with your child and talk about this bible story.

Noah's Ark
The kinders used team work
and problem solving skills to build an Ark
large enough from them and their stuffed animals.
